The exhibition “Mirò! Poetry and light”, after the success of the first stage in Rome, gets to Genoa in the exhibition spaces of Doge Apartments. More than 80 works never seen before in Italy, among them 50 big and wonderful oil paintings but also watercolors, bronzes and earthenware.

Among the masterpieces, you’ll be able to admire the oil paintings “Donna nella via” (Woman in the road, 1973) and “Senza Titolo” (No Title, 1978); the bronzes like “Donna” (Woman, 1967); the sketches among them that one for the wall decoration fo Harkness Commons-Harvard University, all coming from Palma de Mallorca where the Fundaciò Pilar y Joan Mirò holds a lot of masterpieces of the artist.

Altogether will be presented on display over 200 photos, many of them in large format. It crosses the best-known production of this great photographer, and the ever-present portrait of Sharbat Gula, Afghan Girl, published in National Geographic Magazine cover on in June 1985. The face of that girl of extraordinary beauty which embodies the ancient dignity of his battered nation back.

Greatest interest for one hundred latest images, many of which were never shown to the public before.

Facing the XV century castle of Rapallo, you leave the sea promenade by ferry to Santa Margherita, one “salotto” of the gulf. From Santa Margherita the ferry brings you to Portofino, once a small fishing village, is a centre of élite tourism, characterized by the row of houses facing the bay the village looks onto. Then, with our local tour guide you can walk up to the Church of Saint George till the beautiful lighthouse.

Charming Bedroom: This large charming and warm double bedroom has a 18 squares metres terrace with a breathtaking view of the garden and the sea. The bedroom has also a large and cosy walk-in closet provided with a sofa bed. It is equipped with LCD TV. The private bathroom is equipped with a lovely tub. There’s the possibility of 1 extra bed.

The italian style breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace immersed in the Villa’s park.

Not far away from Savona and its Priamar, you will continue the visit to Albisola village. This little town is appreciated as a holiday resort, and for its ceramics and majolica. The Albisola ceramic is famous, above all, for its lovely characteristic colour white and blue, known as “Antico Savona”.

After a short walking along the “Artists Sea Promenade” (a unique opera in Europe), you will enter a ceramics craft shop and you will see how the traditional forms and decorations are created.
